The Vegas Neon Boneyard
by Jaime on Jan.12, 2011, under Photography
The Vegas Neon Boneyard is a great two hour diversion I would recommend for everyone. It has been big with amateur photographers for awhile, but there is a lot of history there, and after the tour you walk away with a broader understanding of Vegas and how much it has changed over the years.
My attempts can be found in my gallery.
Perseverance

Making myself hit the gym this week seemed to be harder than ever. I some how managed to make it every day regardless *cheer*. I guess if it was easy, it wouldn’t be called working out.
I can only hope that next week will be easier, though the past has shown me that getting to the gym during my on call weeks is even harder than normal 0_0.
Long time no see.

It is amazing how often I think about posting, but yet I never do. I come up with a decent post in my head, but it just never makes it to the site. I am by no means the avid blogger that many of the people are that I follow are, but hey, I should at least make an effort right?
I also constantly yearn to go take some more photos, but I haven’t had the time recently. This summer has been constant motion. Hopefully things will slow down some so that I can relax and do some recreational photo shoots.

Pictures from my trip to Santa Barbara.

I also offer up some pictures of my car. It has been over 3 years, and I just now got to take her out for some pictures. Two slide shows in on post gets awfully busy, so head over to the Gallery also to the right.

Inspiration

One of the great things I love about Google reader is the ability to share links with people on your friend’s list. They even integrated Google notes allowing you to make a comment about the entry as well, great for those sarcastic remarks or witty dialogue.
That being said, the only friend I have who uses Google reader is Joe, so finding and sharing that really awesome site through reader means most of my friends never get the message. Most of the time that is perfectly fine, but every once in a while you find that page that you want to spread around as much as possible. This site is one of those.
Nikon Miami is purely a photo blog of pictures of Miami, taken with, one would assume, Nikons. Beyond that almost every picture is truly remarkable in some way. I have this on my blogroll and checking for the 2 or 3 pictures that come in daily really keeps the artistic side of me alive. That part of me that wants to just run away with my camera for a few days to see what kind of shots I can come up with.
When the drudgery of day to day life gets me down, this site helps keep me going sometimes.
Commenting
by Jaime on Jan.16, 2009, under General
Apparently when I upgraded my version of WordPress, the plugin that I have to prevent spam comments started acting up, preventing anyone from commenting at all. I have disabled it for now, At some point I hope to get it working again, but till then I will have to get used to the comment requests that are actually Viagra adverts cleverly disguised.

I am updating my website so that Alana can not play her game. Perhaps I’ll check everyone’s facebook status next.
